Welcome to the “Empty Quarter.” The world’s best will step into unfamiliar territory and take on the massive dunes in this desert oasis. Spartan Championship Beast racers will start the course in the afternoon, and take on this breathtaking Arabian landscape as the sun sets and gives way to dusk, while those participating in the Night Super will battle the course in the desert darkness.

In our fullest weekend of events for any Spartan World Championship to date, racers and attendees will choose their own adventure: Night Super racers will navigate a sea of sand dunes in the light of headlamps and in cooler conditions, while those racing in the World Championship Beast will brave the desert obstacles in daylight. Kicking off the schedule are two trail race distances through the rocky mountain terrain that weaves through the sands, and racers and spectators alike will be immersed in the rich Emerati culture via festival areas.
