Rules and regulations

Spartan Race is a race, timed, judged and ranked. Everyone is ranked and the best athletes will be qualified for European and World championships. ALL the obstacles are mandatory and sanctioned of 30 BURPEES in case of failure on one obstacle. Wearing the timing chip is mandatory and your bib number MUST be visible at any time. You must be 14 years old on race day to be able to participate in a Spartan Sprint and 16 to participate in a Super or a Beast. You receive a headband with your bib number and a timing chip after checking-in for the race, It is mandatory to wear it. Having your bib number visible will also increase your chances of being recognized on the photos to have a memory ...You&#x27;re not allowed to give your bib to another competitor. Results and rankings

All categories are judged and classified. Provisional results will be available on race day. Results and official rankings will be available 3 to 4 days after the race. For any request for this topic thank you to contact our timing and registration partner.

What to wear?

There’s no dress code, but you’ll be running in mud and water, climbing hills and mountains, under barbed wire and jumping fire. Our elites recommend performance gear (NO COTTON), water packs, compression underwear, Clif bars and energy gel. Advice from experience: race in what you train in.

Photos and videos

Accepted Answer

After the race, you&#x27;ll be able to access your photos and videos on our website. You will receive more information by email at the appropriate time. Put prominently your bib number to be automatically recognized by the photo and video system.

Bag check

Accepted Answer

You could drop your stuff to our attempts to the Bag Check (Consignes) and recover after the race. This service is included in the registration price.

Relief and supply

Accepted Answer

There are water and aid stations on the course and at the finish. But these are Spartan-style water stations so if you have specific needs for nutrition (gels and bars) make sure to take that with you AND keep all rubbish with you! Carry extra hydration and fuel if you think you might bonk or pass out from dehydration. Especially for the Beast race we highly recommend carrying a camelbak.

Cut off time

There is no official cut off time nevertheless the organization may apply a race cut off depending on different parameters. If you think you are not able to complete the race in a normal time period please register yourself for an early start time to give you the chance to finish the race.

START HEAT: How to select my start?

Spartan Race operates with heat starts. Heat size depends on the race course but will be between 150 and 200 athletes. Heats will leave every 15 minutes after the first heat. Select well your departure time depending on your level, your team and your objectives. Don’t register in the last heats if you do not feel comfortable finishing the race on time. There is no cut off time but for obvious security reasons, all athletes must be at the finish line by a certain time. Please note, the team registration does not guarantee the same starting heats. Once a heat is full, only the teams will be grouped in the same heat after sending a request. No exceptions will be made regarding changing in the Elite/Competitive or Open heats, only teams will be grouped in the same heat after sending the request to our customer service (FAQ’s).

Manage registration

Unexpected things come up in life. We understand that so we try our best to accommodate the date and/or time transfers, whenever possible. Transfers to another heat of the same category are free (to another category you will have to change the price difference: Open to Elite +20 €, Open to Age Group +20 €). If you want to transfer to another event there is a charge on these transfers depending on the ticket values and with a service fee. Transfers are possible until the Thursday before the event.

Race Arrival & Start Times

Please plan to arrive 60 minutes before your start time. This gives you plenty of time to park, pick up your registration packet, drop your stuff at bag check, and get warmed up. What To Bring - Your ID - Barcode (printed or saved to your phone) (find it in your Spartan Account) - Towel, waterproof bag, & extra (dry) clothes/shoes - Sunscreen & hydration - Headlamps are recommended for later start times - We recommend wearing performance gear (compression bottoms and breathable tops) - Comfortable shoes that you’ve trained in, but are OK to get dirty. Get an OCR-tested shoe and gear up for race day in the Spartan Shop
